Lamp Light (FANARI) was used in earlier times as a kind of re- frigerator. Inside this utensil, which had a metal or wooden frame, locals used to place bread and other leftovers from the daily table. The metal mesh sur- rounding the frame allowed for ventilation, while it held off various insects and vermin. However, the dishes that were placed in the fanari could not be preserved for more than a day
